When I first came to Becca over a year ago, I was convinced that I was never going to competitively lift again and that injury was just going to be a permanent part of my life,” Kumiko reflects. “But through Becca’s meticulous programming and love of all odd accessory exercises, she helped me get healthier and stronger, but most importantly, she helped me mature as an athlete. Becca taught me how to appreciate the small wins in training (and how to love accessory work...what?). Since working with Strength Ratio, I’ve learned that there is a way to fit weightlifting into my life, rather than trying to fit my life into weightlifting. There have been a lot of hard lessons along the way but I never felt alone in learning them.
